Armed robbery at Yennora; police seek info, NSW

An investigation is underway following an armed robbery at a home in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

Police have been told two men aged 34 and 36, were inside a unit on Orchadleigh Street, Yennora, about 8.15pm yesterday (Thursday 8 March 2018), when a man, who was armed with a knife, entered.

The man threatened the pair who, attempted to run from the unit, when a woman tried to stop them.

As the 36 and 34-year-old men fled the scene, the man chased them for a short distance.

Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Police would like to speak to two people who may be able to provide information in relation to the investigation.

The man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, 180-190cm tall with a solid build. he was last seen wearing a red shirt and dark pants.

The woman is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance 150-160cm tall with an obese build. She was last seen wearing black shirt.

The pair were last seen to heading toward Yennora Railway Station, where they are believed to have travelled to the Cabramatta area.

Inquiries are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
