Armed robbery charges at Marsden, QLD

Detectives have charged a man after the alleged robbery of a Chinese Restaurant at Marsden yesterday afternoon, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged about 5.25pm a man entered the Barklya Place business and threatened a female staff member stealing her phone.

He then demanded keys for car from another staff member who refused. The man then left the store.

Polair located two men walking nearby shortly after and police stopped the men, one of whom had possession of the woman’s phone.

A 32-year-old Tiagum man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery. He will appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, May 28.
