Armed Robbery Elwick Hotel Glenorchy
Three people are assisting with police enquiries following an armed robbery at the Elwick Hotel, Glenorchy at approximately 1.55am this morning, Tasmania Police say.
A man entered the gaming area of the hotel and threatened staff members with a metal object, believed to be a crow bar, which he had hidden on his person when he entered the premises.
The staff members complied with his demands and called for police assistance as the man left.
The two staff members were uninjured during the incident.
The suspect was located a short time later in Glenorchy. A vehicle of interest and two other people were also located. The vehicle was towed for examination and the three people are assisting with the investigation.
