Armed Robbery in Main Beach, QLD

Police are appealing for information after a 35-year-old man was allegedly assaulted and robbed during a traffic incident in Main Beach this morning.

Around 8am a man was driving along Seaworld Drive, when he was allegedly tailgated by a black Ford Focus hatchback.

The man has pulled his vehicle over to the side of the road at the end of Seaworld Drive where the hatchback also stopped.

Three men exited the vehicle and threatened the man with knives while demanding he hand over his wallet.

One of the men then grabbed his chain from the man’s neck and stole his gold watch before the trio fled in the vehicle.

The man received a minor laceration to his neck during the incident.

He managed to take a photo of the vehicle as they drove away and investigators are urging anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the Main Beach area this morning to contact police.
