Armed robbery in Mount Gravatt, QLD

Police have charged a 37-year-old man following investigations into an armed robbery in Mount Gravatt earlier today, Queensland Police say.

Just before 10.00 am a 37-year-old man allegedly entered a Creek Road electronics shop, produced a knife and threatened staff demanding money from a 28-year-old man, who handed a quantity of cash to the man.

The 37-year-old is alleged to have fled the store on foot.

Police apprehended a 37-year-old MacGregor man who allegedly had possession of cash.

The man was subsequently charged with enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and robbery whilst armed.  He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
