Armed robbery in North Lakes, QLD

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in North Lakes last night, Queensland Police say.

Preliminary information suggests around 10.30pm a man walked into the College Street business, approached the counter and produced a knife from his backpack, demanding money.

The 23-year-old female store attendant complied and the man fled the premises with a sum of cash.

He was wearing all black clothing and had his face covered.

Investigations are continuing. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
