Armed Robbery in Swansea

Police are investigating after a robbery in Swansea overnight, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to licensed premise on Rawson Street, Swansea, about 9pm today, following reports of a robbery.

Police have been told two men entered from a side door and one of the men threatened staff members with a firearm believed to be a sawn off shotgun, while the other man entered the bar area and stole a sum of cash.

The men left the location and were last seen on foot on Neale Lane.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command attended the address and established a crime scene.

Police hope to speak with two men who might be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first man is described as being in his early 20s, medium build and around 173cm tall. He was wearing a dark hooded jumper, a blue t-shirt, dark pants, dark motorcycle gloves and black joggers with white rims.

The second man is described as in his early 20s, wearing a blue hooded jumper with white long sleeves, black and yellow ski gloves, blue joggers with purple laces and white rims around the sole.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
