Katherine Police have arrested a 22-year-old female following an alleged aggravated assault in Katherine this morning.
Police were called to reports of an armed person on Katherine Terrace around 8:00am, Northern Territory Police say.
On arrival police located a 24-year-old male with injuries to his abdomen.
The male was conveyed to Katherine District Hospital and has since been released.
Police arrested a female nearby and conveyed her to the police station.
The female is yet to be charged and is assisting police with their enquiries.
The Central Investigations Unit are investigating the incident.
