A man was arrested at Hawthorn this afternoon following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.
Police attended a Sussex Terrace, Hawthorn property about 10am on Thursday 13 December as part of the investigation.
Police negotiated with a man inside the premises for several hours before he was arrested safely and without incident just before 3.30pm.
The 27-year-old man has been arrested and will be charged later this afternoon.
Police wish to thank local residents for their patience while police safely managed this incident.
