Arrest of woman after armed robbery - Revesby

A woman has been charged following an armed robbery in Revesby on Wednesday.

About 2.15pm on Wednesday 2 September 2020, a woman entered a hairdressing salon on Beaconsfield Street, Revesby and inquired about the price of a haircut.

As the hairdresser handed over a business card, the woman produced a screwdriver and grabbed her around the neck and demanded money.

The hairdresser handed over a sum of money from the till before the woman left on foot towards Greenway Parade.

The hairdresser and other customers who were in the salon at the time of the robbery were shaken but not hurt.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Following inquires, a 34-year-old was arrested at Maroubra Police Station today.

She was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon.

The woman was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 5 September)
