Arrest over Modbury taxi driver robbery, SA

A teenager has been arrested and police are searching for two other suspects after the robbery of a taxi driver at Modbury last year, according to SA Police.

Police will allege that just before 11pm on 18 December 2016, two male passengers and a female passenger armed with knives threatened a taxi driver on Montague Road before stealing cash from the taxi they were travelling in.

The male driver was not injured.

Police released CCTV images from inside the taxi, and yesterday detectives from Holden Hill Criminal Investigation Branch arrested a 15-year-old boy from Modbury North and charged him with aggravated robbery.

He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on 24 February.
