Arrests - Drugs and Firearms - Darwin

Members of the Drug and Organised Crime Section have arrested five people for drug and firearm related offences.

Three males aged 57, 34 and 29, and two females aged 41 and 31 were arrested following the execution of search warrants in Virginia and Coconut Grove yesterday, Northern Territory Police say

Over 180 grams of methamphetamine, 20 grams of MDMA, steroids, a firearm, capsicum spray and $194,000 cash were seized.

The 41-year-old female and 29-year-old male have been remanded to appear in the Darwin Local Court today on multiple drug and tainted property offences.

The remaining offenders have either been bailed or given a notice to appear in court at a later date on drug and weapon related offences.

Detective Superintendent Pollock states "I encourage the community to get behind police and continue to report those who profit from the harm these illicit drugs cause"
