Arrests following Southbank firearms incident

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested two people in relation to a firearms incident in Southbank last week, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a man was seen with a handgun on Power Street and a number of shots were fired just after 4am on 18 May.

One man was treated for non-life threatening injuries related to the incident.

A 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested on Daly Street in South Yarra about 2pm without incident.

Both are currently being interviewed and no charges have been laid at this stage.
