Arrests over armed robbery investigation, NSW

Two women and a man have been arrested following two search warrants in Sydney’s west today, NSW Police say.

Officers from Flemington Local Area Command and Regional Enforcement Squad with the assistance of the Tactical Operations Unit executed the search warrants about 6am (Thursday 30 November 2017), at a home in Smith Street, Regents Park and a unit in Sturt Street, Telopea.

The warrants were conducted in connection with investigations into an alleged armed robbery at a school in Auburn on Thursday 26 October 2017.

Several items including clothing, cash, mobile phones and a knife were secured during the operation and retained for forensic examination.

The two men and a woman, all aged in their 20s, were arrested at the unit in Telopea and taken to Auburn Police Station where they are assisting police with inquiries.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
