A man has been charged after fire destroyed a residence at Mount Kynoch yesterday, Queensland Police say.
It will be alleged police attended an address on the New England Highway around 5pm where a house was located fully engulfed.
Fire crews spent a number of hours bringing the blaze under control, however the building was completely destroyed.
There was no one inside the home at the time.
Police and the dog squad later located a 29-year-old Highfields man who was subsequently charged with two counts of arson.
He is due to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court this morning.
