Artisans Market and Art Studios Open Day Unite

North Sydney Council

North Sydney's creative scene will be on full display on Sunday 22 June, with two standout events taking place across the area: the Coal Loader Artisans Market in Waverton and the Primrose Park Artist Studios and Art & Craft Centre Open Day in Cremorne. A free shuttle bus will run between both locations throughout the day, making it easy to explore everything on offer.

At the Coal Loader, from 9am to 3pm, the popular Artisans Market will fill the harbourside site with a curated mix of handmade, sustainable goods by local artists and makers. Visitors can enjoy live acoustic music, delicious food, free face painting, and a kid-friendly frog painting education stall - all with stunning views of Sydney Harbour.

Just a short ride away, Primrose Park Open Day runs from 10am to 3pm, offering visitors a rare chance to explore working artist studios and take part in creative workshops including painting, textiles, collage, sculpture and photography. The Classical Guitar Society of Sydney will provide a beautiful musical backdrop, and local artists will host engaging Q&A sessions.

The two events are highlights of the North Sydney Arts: Winter Program, a season-long celebration of culture, creativity and community. The program also features live music, exhibitions, markets, workshops and inclusive cultural celebrations such as the Gai-mariagal Festival and Pride Month.

Mayor Zoë Baker said the events are a testament to the thriving local arts scene.

"The Coal Loader Artisan Market and Primrose Park Open Day perfectly showcase the extraordinary talent and creativity within our local community. These events not only provide opportunities for artists to share their work but also bring people together to celebrate art, culture and sustainability."
