ASEAN-Australia Centre New Grants Recipients

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

Today I announce the recipients of the ASEAN-Australia Centre's 2025-26 grants program.

Ten Australian organisations have been awarded grants that directly support the Centre's mission to strengthen Australia's connections with Southeast Asia and support a peaceful, stable and prosperous region.

This year the Centre is supporting organisations to deliver creative industry initiatives, projects that recognise the expertise of Australians of Southeast Asian heritage, and research that supports trade and investment.

The grant recipients include:

  • the Australian Industry Group, which will connect Southeast Asian-Australian professionals and entrepreneurs with Australian businesses, driving growth in ASEAN markets.
  • Global Viet Women, which will support screenwriters, directors and producers from Australia, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam to build creative capability and co-production pathways.
  • Sports Inclusion Australia, which will deliver the Empower HER Through Sport program, promoting the inclusion of women with disability - particularly those with an intellectual impairment - in Southeast Asia and Australia.

The Centre received almost 25 per cent more grant applications than in 2024-25 - from all Australian states and territories - demonstrating Australia's increasing interest in connecting with Southeast Asia.
