Ashurst Guides AFC on $100M Loan from Canada's DFI

Global law firm Ashurst has advised the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) on the raising of a US$100 million loan facility from Development Finance Institute Canada (DFIC) Inc., marking AFC's official entry into the Canadian debt capital market and the beginning of a promising relationship with DFIC.

AFC and DFIC's shared vision for impact financing on the African continent has made for a natural and promising collaboration which will undoubtedly yield returns for the targeted renewable energy and infrastructure projects in AFC's pipeline.

The team was led by partner Matthew Wood, supported by associates Tomilayo Fadoju and Guy Seymour and trainee solicitors Millie McElroy and George Simmons.
