Ashurst, Perkins Coie Guide Rockhopper's $200M Equity Raise

Global law firm Ashurst Perkins Coie is advising longstanding client Rockhopper Exploration plc, the oil and gas company with key interests in the North Falkland Basin, on its up to US$200 million capital raising.

The capital raising comprises an approximately US$180 million placing and an up to US$20 million open offer, the net proceeds of which are expected to be used by Rockhopper to fund certain of its business activities in the Falkland Islands.

The Ashurst Perkins Coie team is being led by partners Harry Thimont and Julia Derrick, with support from senior associates Louise Johnson and Maria McAlister, associates Aoife Weir, Victoria Kirk and Marisa Muramatsu and trainee Harry Sun. Partner Jeffrey Johnson is advising on US securities matters.
