Assault and burglary in Auchenflower, QLD

Police have charged two men following investigations into an incident in Auchenflower last night, Queensland Police say.

Police will allege at around 10.45pm three men forced their way into a home on Milton Road, one armed with a vacuum cleaner aluminium tube.

Police further allege the trio assaulted two 18-year-old male residents of the home with the metal pole and punched and kicked them.

A female resident managed to hide and was not physically injured during the incident.

One of the men stole a wallet and other personal property from the address before all three left on foot.

Police attended and located two of the men nearby.

The two male victims were treated at the scene for bruising.

A 21-year-old New Farm man and a 20-year-old Auchenflower man have been charged with two counts each of deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed, wilful damage and one count each of break and enter.

They are scheduled to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
