Assault - Bondi Junction, NSW

Police investigating an assault in Sydney’s east in May have released an image of a person they believe could assist with their inquiries, NSW Police say.

About 3.40pm on Saturday 6 May 2017 a 35-year-old man was approached by another man at the Bondi Junction bus and rail interchange.

The pair had a short conversation before the 35-year-old man was assaulted, suffering a number of kicks to the head.

The 35-year-old man suffered a number of cuts to his head but declined the services of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Police investigating the incident are now trying to identify a person they believe can assist with their inquiries.

He is described as a man of Caucasian appearance, aged in his early 20s with short brown hair. In the CCTV image released by police he is wearing a cream baseball cap with an Adidas logo, white hoodie, black jeans and black runners with white socks.

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact police from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command via Crime Stoppers.
