Assault charges – Marsden

Detectives from the Logan Child Protection and Investigation Unit have arrested and charged a man following the alleged assault of a 58-year-old man at Marsden in March this year, Queensland Police say.

Around 5.30pm on March 21 it is alleged a man was assaulted with a baseball bat at a Maple Street residence.

The injured man sustained a cut to the top of his head and bruising on his elbow and hip.

At the time he was transported to the Logan Hospital for treatment.

A 43-year-old man from Eagleby has been charged with enter dwelling with intent, act intended to cause grievous bodily harm whilst armed and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed.

He is due to face the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on August 3, 2017.
