Launceston CIB is investigating an alleged assault that occurred in Goderich Street, Invermay.
At 3:45pm today, police received reports of a man being assaulted.
The incident resulted in a man receiving a non life threatening head injury.
The man who was allegedly assaulted has been taken to the Launceston General Hospital.
Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
