Assault inquiry starts after injured man returns to Strathfield motel, NSW

Police are trying to determine the chain fo events that lead to an injured man returning to a Strathfield motel this morning, NSW Police say.

About 4.30am (Monday 14 May 2018), a 36-year-old man returned to his room at the Liverpool Road premises.

A roommate became concerned after the man began to suffer a medical episode. The man was taken to hospital and his injuries are not considered life threatening.

Police from Auburn Police Area Command are investigating and believe the man may have been assaulted elsewhere.

They will speak with the injured man when his medical condition allows.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
