It will be alleged around 6.30pm the victim was loading groceries into his vehicle that was parked at a shopping complex on Musgrave Street when he witnessed an altercation taking place between two men.

The victim drove himself to Rockhampton Hospital where he was treated for a laceration to his head, a shoulder injury, bruising and swelling.

The man (depicted in the CCTV) is described as tanned in appearance, around 185cm tall, aged in his 20s or 30s, wearing a black cap, white shirt, black shorts and a man bag across his shoulder.
