Assault police charges at Mount Gravatt East, QLD

Police have charged a man following the execution of a search warrant this morning, Queensland Police say.

At around 8.40am police attended the Dykes Road home at Mount Gravatt East where they located a woman and a man.

It will be alleged as officers attempted to detain the man, he punched a male constable in the left eye and headbutted a male senior constable to the jaw.

A 31-year-old Mount Gravatt East man has been charged with two counts of serious assault police.

He is due to appear in the Holland Park Magistrates Court on September 19.

A 20-year-old Coorparoo woman has been issued with a notice to appear relating to possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils or pipes and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

She is due to appear in Holland Park Magistrates Court on August 28.
