Police have identified the 14 year old male youth who was responsible for an assault which occurred on the Clarence Foreshore Trail yesterday, Tasmania Police say.
The youth was questioned by detectives from Bellerive CIB and will be proceeded against under the Youth Justice Act.
Police would like to thank members of the public for their response to an earlier call for assistance in identifying the offender.
Police would also like to reassure the public that this was a rare incident and people shouldn’t feel concerned about using the area.
