At least 2 detained in Poland's Olsztyn under suspicion of planning attacks

Polish police arrested two people suspected of keeping big arsenal of the weapons for planning attacks plots, local media reported Friday.

Polish police arrested two people in the city of Olsztyn suspected of keeping big arsenal of the weapons and explosive materials as well as of planning attacks, local media reported Friday.

According to the Onet news portal, the operation was held by the Internal Security Agency and district Prosecutor's Office. According to Cezary Fiertek, a Prosecutor's Office representative, the detainees have already been charged under several articles, as quoted in the publication.

Wojciech K., one of the detainees, is charged with keeping over five kg (11 pounds) of explosive materials and planning to carry out an attack of a terrorist character. Christopher G., the second detainee, is charged with illegal keeping of firearms with telescopic sight, two machine guns and a pistol, according to the media outlet.
