ATM break and enter attempt at Arana Hills, QLD

Detectives are investigating a break-in at an Arana Hills shopping centre where an automatic teller machine (ATM) was damaged, Queensland Police say.

Around 3.12am, two men have broken into a shopping centre bunker containing an ATM on Patricks Road.

The door of the ATM was forced open, however they were unable to gain entry to the machine and fled empty handed soon after.

Police are continuing to make enquiries to determine if the latest ATM attack at Arana Hills is linked to similar offences committed across South East Queensland and subject of Operation Papa Dodgeball investigations.

Anyone with any information which could assist police with their investigations is urged to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
