ATM theft, Burdell

Police have released vision and are appealing for witnesses after a person stole an automatic teller machine (ATM) from a shopping centre in Burdell this morning.

Around 3am, at a Main Street shopping centre, a person driving a front-end loader, knocked over the bollards and entered the shopping centre. The driver then used the front end-loader to pick up the ATM and left the scene.

The front end-loader and ATM were later located in the grounds of a Burdell primary school.

Anyone in the Burdell area who has CCTV footage or who may have seen a front end-loader driving through the streets around 3am is urged to contact police.
