Attempt murder charge after Artarmon stabbing

A man is due to appear in court today charged with attempted murder after the alleged stabbing of a man at Artarmon last week.

Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command have been investigating the stabbing of a 28-year-old man about 10.30pm last Thursday (6 October 2022), as he walked along the Pacific Highway.

The man suffered multiple stab wounds to his face, chest, and abdomen; he sought assistance from a nearby house before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital. The man underway surgery and remains in there in a serious but stable condition.

Strike Force Prosy was formed by North Shore PAC detectives and, following extensive inquiries, a search warrant was executed on a home on the Pacific Highway at Greenwich about 3.40pm yesterday (Sunday 9 October 2022).

A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was taken to Chatswood Police Station where he was charged with one count of attempted murder.

A number of items were seized from the home and have been taken for forensic examination.

The man was refused bail to appear in Hornsby Local Court today (Monday 10 October 2022).
