Attempt robbery on gaming room at Mawson Lakes, South Australia

Police are investigating an early morning attempt robbery at a hotel in Mawson Lakes.

At about 1.15am, Tuesday 17 September, two men, one armed with a sledgehammer and the other a firearm, entered the gaming room on Main Street and demanded money.

The security guard at the venue has intervened and a small altercation occurred, prior to the two men leaving, dropping the sledgehammer when leaving the building. The men left empty handed and are believed to have gotten into a silver four door sedan.

As a result of the altercation, the security guard suffered a broken arm, and was treated at hospital.

The first suspect is described as wearing an afro wig, black jumper, blue jeans and black and white sneakers.

The second suspect is described as wearing a grey t-shirt around his face, olive green jacket, black pants and white shoes.
