Attempted armed robbery at Broadbeach Waters, QLD

A 25-year-old man is in police custody after the attempted armed robbery of residents of a house at Broadbeach Waters overnight, Queensland Police say.

Between 10pm on September 26, 2018 and 1.30am on September 27, 2018 a man armed with a knife entered the house on Fremar Drive and made demands for money.

A 38-year-old male occupant of the house confronted the man and he fled the residence to a nearby house without obtaining any money.

Police attended the scene and detained the man in a neighbouring house.

None of the residents of the house were injured in the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
