Attempted armed robbery at Crestmead, QLD

Police have released vision of a woman who might be able to assist their investigation into the attempted armed robbery of a service station at Crestmead last night, Queensland Police say.

Around 11.15pm, a woman loitered outside the store on Bumstead Road for approximately five minutes, before covering her face with dark clothing and running towards the entrance whilst armed with a large knife.

The woman attempted to gain entry to the store but was unsuccessful due to the attendant locking the doors.

The woman then left the scene on foot, last seen walking in a northerly direction towards Julie Street.

The woman is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, approximately 168cm tall, with a slim build and dark hair. She was wearing black t-shirt, black pants, red and white sneakers and was carrying a large black bag with a large white ‘Nike’ logo on it at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information as to the identity of this woman is urged to contact police.
