Attempted armed robbery in Nerang, QLD

Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a Nerang business which occurred around 6:30pm yesterday, August 1, Queensland Police say.

A man armed with a knife entered the Lavelle Street business, threatening a 26-year-old female attendant.

The man pushed passed the woman and accessed the cash register, which was empty, and then proceeded to leave the store empty handed.

He was last seen leaving the store in a large black SUV.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

He is described as Caucasian, approximately 180cm tall, of a slim build and was last seen wearing blue trousers, a black hoodie with white writing, a grey coloured peak cap and sunglasses with black shoes.
