Attempted burglary with violence at Kingston, QLD

Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating an attempted burglary with violence that occurred at Kingston this afternoon (November 13), Queensland Police say.

At about 2.40pm, a woman at a Cedar Court address was confronted by a man at her back door who demanded cash. The woman refused and pushed the man out of the doorway allowing her to close the door.

The man approached the front door of the house whilst holding a knife.

The woman was able to yell and get the attention of a neighbour causing the man to drop the knife and flee the scene on foot.

The man is described as approximately 18-years-of-age, dark skin, wearing a shirt with dark coloured pants.

No one was physically injured and no property was stolen during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
