Attempted Murder Charge At Logan

Detectives have charged a man with attempted murder following a shooting in Bethania on Saturday evening.

It will be alleged at 5.55pm, an argument occurred in Claredon Street, between two men who are known to each other.

A 62-year-old man allegedly shot a 35-year-old man twice, once in the shoulder and once in the chest.

The 35-year-old Bethania man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

The 62-year-old Bethania man has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and fail to securely store weapon.

He will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday.
