A boy has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged assault in Gympie.
Emergency services responded to reports that a man had allegedly been stabbed in the chest on Cootharaba Road around 8am.
The 35-year-old man was transported to hospital for treatment.
A 17-year-old Gympie boy has been charged with one count of attempted murder.
