Attempted murder charge in Waterford West, QLD

Detectives have charged a man with attempted murder following their investigations into an alleged shooting incident in Waterford West yesterday evening, Queensland Police say.

Police will allege around 5.50pm, a 25-year-old man was located in the carpark of an Albert Street hotel suffering from a number of gunshot wounds to his lower body.

The 25-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 27-year-old Woodridge man has been charged with one count each of attempted murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.  He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on November 20.
