Attempted murder charges at North Lakes, QLD

Police have charged a man with attempted murder after an alleged shooting incident in North Lakes last night, Queensland Police say.

It is alleged two men aged 27 and 28 were shot in the vicinity of Springsure Parade at North Lakes and later presented at hospital with non-life threatening injuries around 10pm.

One man sustained serious wounds to the face and the other man an injury to the hand.

This afternoon police have attended an address at North Lakes and arrested a 22-year-old Morayfield man.

The man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 29.
