Attempted murder charges, Woolloongabba

Two men have been charged following investigations into an alleged attempted murder at Woolloongabba on Monday (April 18).

Police will allege the two men entered a Wilton Street unit and doused a 39-year-old Woolloongabba man with accelerant and set him alight.

The two men, aged 41 and 43-years-old, allegedly left the scene.

The 39-year-old Woolloongabba man suffered significant burns to his head and body, and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

It will be alleged that the men are known to each other.

The 41-year-old man and 43-year-old man have been charged with attempted murder, enter dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence and extortion.

Both men have been remanded in custody and are expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court again on May 23.
