Detectives have charged a man with attempted murder after he allegedly struck another man with his vehicle in Wynnum this afternoon.
It will be alleged around 12.10pm, a 27-year-old man was in the carpark of a Chestnut Street unit complex, when a 29-year-old man, who is known to him, drove a Landcruiser 4WD toward him twice. On a third occasion the 27-year-old man was struck by the 4WD.
The driver fled in the 4WD, but was arrested by police at 1pm in Coolanna Street at Lota.
The 27-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious head injuries.
The 29-year-old Lota man has been charged with one count each of attempted murder (domestic violence) and dangerous driving.
He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, 4 May.
