Police are investigating an assault and attempted robbery at an Angle Vale service station overnight.
Just before midnight on Monday 10 August, a man approached the night window of the service station on Curtis Road, Angle Vale armed with a machete and demanded cash.
The man then confronted and threatened another employee on the forecourt before running off empty-handed.
The victim sustained a superficial scratch to his neck when he was grabbed by the offender but did not require medical treatment.
Police searched the area, but the suspect was not located. He was wearing dark clothing with a high-vis vest and a black skull-faced balaclava.
Crime scene investigators attended and examined the scene overnight.
Investigations are continuing.
