Attempted Unlawful Entry in Alice Springs, Suspect Arrested

Northern Territory Police have arrested a male youth in relation to an attempted burglary in Araluen over the weekend.

Sometime in the early hours of 13 January, police responded to a report of an offender attempting to gain entry into a service station through the backdoor.

On attendance, police quickly apprehended a 13-year-old male.

Whilst being escorted to the police vehicle, the male assaulted the two police officers.

the 13-year-old male has been charged with:

  • 2 x assault police
  • Resist police
  • Armed with an offensive weapon
  • Damage to property

He is due to appear in court today.
