In the 80th year of the founding of the United Nations, Australia and New Zealand have collaborated to publish the United Nations Handbook 2025-26.
First published by New Zealand in 1961, the Handbook has become a trusted reference guide to the UN system.
Foreign Minister Penny Wong and her New Zealand counterpart, the Rt Hon Winston Peters said:
Australia and New Zealand's inaugural collaboration on this Handbook underlines our shared commitment to the purposes and principles of the UN and its founding Charter. Together, we recognise and commend the role of UN agencies and personnel in advancing global sustainable development, safeguarding human rights and promoting our collective peace and security.
