Australia announces new High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

Today I announce the appointment of Ms Tiffany McDonald as Australia's new High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam.

Australia enjoys a warm and longstanding relationship with Brunei Darussalam, focused on defence, trade and education links. We have a shared interest in a stable and prosperous region, and look forward to working closely with Brunei Darussalam in its role as ASEAN chair in 2021.

Ms McDonald is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). She has previously served overseas in Seoul, London and Jakarta.

She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws from the Australian National University.

I thank previous High Commissioner Nicola Rosenblum for her contributions to advancing Australia's interests in Brunei Darussalam since 2016.
