Australia Post has opened a new Post Office in Warradale, bolstering services for local households and businesses amidst a surge in online shopping in the City of Marion.
Located just across from Westfield Marion Shopping Centre at 466 Morphett Road, the new Post Office opened on 10 July 2025 and offers parcel services, everyday banking, bill payments and a range of retail merchandise.
Online shopping in the City of Marion saw a year-on-year surge of 7% in 2024, well above the 4.9% growth in South Australia and 2% seen nationwide1. The Women's Fashion category was a top driver of the shopping boom in Marion, recording a 46% increase in 2024 alone.
Along with a dedicated parcel hatch, the new Warradale Post Office features free 24/7 Parcel Lockers that provide customers with convenient and secure access to their online purchases. Parcel Lockers also support round-the-clock online shopping returns, offering greater flexibility for busy households who can easily return purchases from select merchants following their instructions.
Australia Post General Manager Retail Operations South, Kate Foley said the opening represented a significant investment for southern Adelaide in response to customer demand and steady population growth.
"Efficiency and simplicity for our customers were front of mind in our design for this post office, which will support speedy parcel collection and lodgement for local residents and small businesses.
"We're delighted to have secured this location adjacent to Adelaide's major retail and services precinct, close to Warradale Station and within easy walking or driving distance to hundreds of homes within Warradale," Ms Foley said.
Nearby Post Offices at Warradale North, Park Holme, Hove, Brighton and Seacliff Park will all continue to offer a full range of Australia Post services for local customers.
Around the country, more than 1.6 million users are now registered for Australia Post's 24/7 Parcel Lockers while the AusPost app currently has more than 7 million users.
Australia Post continues to improve its high-rating app, with a recent enhancement the addition of 'missed delivery' photos to give customers information and confidence that a delivery has been attempted.
