The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) has extended its congratulations to the 2021 recipients of Australia Day Honours.

Acting Chief Executive Officer of ACN, Neil Haynes FCA FACN (Hon), said the honours reflected the diversity of contribution that Australians make from all walks of life.

"So many in our community contribute in different ways and often for the simple pleasure of assisting others. The Australia Day Honours are an opportunity to celebrate those among us who have made our lives better through their work, research, philanthropy and volunteering,' Mr Haynes said.

"Nursing has been at the forefront of the challenges we have seen in the last year, and this service is emblematic of the day-to-day support that nurses deliver around Australia. We are delighted to see so many Fellows and Members of the ACN acknowledged today."

"Congratulations to all who were recognised today and thank you for the contribution you have made as patient and health care advocates," Mr Haynes said.
