If you’re driving home tonight, avoid using coastal or beachfront roads due to rising tides along the coast between Brighton and Birkenhead, according to SA Police.
With dangerous winds and rain expected tonight, police and emergency services strongly advise that members of the public stay out of the water and avoid using recreational craft such as surfboards.
There is a strong tidal surge expected around 6pm tonight, so please drive (and ride) with caution on the way home.
