Severe thunderstorms producing areas of heavy rainfall continue through the Barkly into the evening.
Weather Situation: A moist and unstable airmass combines with a trough about the central Northern Territory this afternoon to produce slow-moving thunderstorms with heavy rainfall. Severe thunderstorms are slowly moving to the northwest and are likely to continue into the evening.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Avon Downs and Barkly District east of Tennant Creek.
